Description

The purpose of this course is to train underground service managers, employees and workers on how to conduct underground services safely. It also aims to train operators who work in the field. These include site managers, drillers, engineers, laborers and maintenance workers.
This course covers a detailed study which is not limited to;

This course is aimed at all those involved in commissioning, planning, managing and carrying out work on or near underground services. It will also be of use to the owners and operators of such services.
It contains the potential dangers of working near underground services and gives advice on how to reduce any direct risks to people’s health and safety, as well as the indirect risks arising through damage to services. The underground service industry can be extremely dangerous and anyone who is exposed to these hazards i.e. electrical services, dangerous gases etc. can have serious injury or ill health effects. People can suffer serious injuries if they are not careful when they are near the underground services which are under progress or even operational. If you are planning to start working near various underground services, you should learn the safety processes and procedures. You should check if the company that you are working for has any safety regulations. If not, you should make sure that you follow the guidelines that the government has issued to you.
